VISION STATEMENT
- To promote chalk art through festivals, social media, and demonstrations.
- To educate members in the creative use of chalk as an art medium through demonstrations and presentations
- To provide information about the history of chalk art (street painting) and contemporary applications and innovations to the public and other artists.
- To cooperate with other art associations, community groups, and cultural organizations to enhance this art form.

Section 1: Anyone can become a member of Chalk Art Nation association:
a. Artist
b. Vendor
c. Patron
Members in good standing shall have all privileges of the Association to include voting and holding office (must be 18 years of age or older)
Section 2: Membership shall not be limited to a predetermined number of persons.
Section 3: A member is in good standing if all dues and assessments to which the member is subject have been paid in full for the current year.
Section 4: Any member may be suspended or expelled from Chalk Art Nation association for intentional or repeated violations of these bylaws or other rules established by this association. Such action shall be determined by a two-thirds vote of the Board.

ARTICLE II: DUES AND ASSESSMENTS
Section 1: The annual dues for membership shall be established by the Board and payable by the 15th day of January each year. All annual fees for member’s website banners will be due on the 15th of January each year. A fee will be due when a member is approved for the Certification Program.
Section 2: Any member delinquent for a sixty (60) day period following January 15th due day, will be suspended and removed from the rolls. Members delinquent over one (1) year shall be considered under the new member status upon reapplication.
Section 3: Special assessments must be approved by two-thirds of eligible membership present at a duly called meeting. Payment shall be made as specified in the member action. All special assessments must be announced in writing to include the purpose no less than thirty (30) days prior to the vote.

Section 1: There shall be a Board consisting of the four (4) officers of the Association elected by the membership at the annual meeting.
Section 2: The board shall approve all funds expended for the operation of this Association.
exception: Any commitment of funds less than $200 shall be approved by the President and Treasurer, prior to need.
Section 3: The Board shall draw up bylaws and any amendments thereto and shall act as the investigative and interpretative body of the Association to resolve conflicts.

Section 2: Officers shall be elected and take office for 2-5 years at the annual meeting held no later than December 1 of each year.
Section 3: The President shall guide and coordinate the various activities of the Association. This officer shall preside at the annual meeting and all general meetings and shall enforce the bylaws of the Association.
Section 4: The Vice President shall assist the President and shall officiate in the absence of the President. This officer shall be responsible for the function of the Association operations, i.e. meeting arrangements, programs, festival, and chalk events.
Section 5: The Secretary shall keep all the minutes of all meetings and shall process the Association correspondence as assigned by the President. This officer shall be the custodian of the bylaws, membership rosters, and other official records of the association.
Section 6: The treasurer shall be responsible for the financial records of the association, shall receive dues and other funds, make disbursements, and provide an annual financial statement report to the Board and the membership at its annual meeting.
Section 7: The Member at Large without specific duties, shall work with the other officers to provide programs, social activities, publicity, newsletters, website development, and maintain the history of the organization or handle such other duties as may be assigned by the President.

Section 4: In the event of a vacancy of an office, the Board shall appoint a replacement to fill the remaining term of office.

Section 1: No fewer than two (2) general meetings of the membership shall be held each year, one of which shall be the annual meeting. An awards program, installation of officers’ dinner, or other member events may qualify to meet this requirement.
Section 2: The President shall call all general meetings.
Section 3: Meetings will be conducted according to Robert’s Rules of Order. The President may relax and enforce the rules of order at his or her discretion so that orderly and productive meetings may result.
Section 4: Simple majorities, with quorum, shall rule except that a two-thirds approval of the voting membership present is required for the removal from office and approval for bylaw amendments.
Section 5: A quorum shall consist of ten (10) qualified and eligible members.

Section 2: Certification application will be reviewed by a committee comprised of the President, the Vice President and the Secretary.
Section 3: When certification has been approved, member will be notified of acceptance and posted on the website.
